Peshawar: sugar being sold for Rs65-70/kg
PESHAWAR: Sugar crisis continues in Peshawar and the commodity is being sold for Rs65-70/kg in most of the city markets. According to market sources, sugar mills are not providing the commodity to the markets spurring the price hike. Due to the shortage of sugar, most of the shopkeepers are overcharging, claiming they are unable to receive the commodity as per the assigned quota. DCO Peshawar, Sahibzada Mohammad Anees told Geo News government is taking concrete measures to control the ongoing sugar crisis and the supply from Punjab will soon begin.
